The behavioral health AI vendor questionnaire
Fifteen questions to put to any vendor selling you an AI tool, before you sign anything. Most can’t be answered from a sales script, so the replies tell you a lot about what’s behind the product.
What it covers
- Whether the vendor will sign a business associate agreement, and what it excludes
- Which other companies (subprocessors) touch your data, and where they are
- Whether the terms permit training a model on what you put in
- Where the data physically lives, and what happens to it at rest
- What audit logging exists, and whether you can get at it
- What the exit terms are, and what your data looks like on the way out
It’s a plain list you can paste straight into an email. There’s nothing to buy and nothing tied to my services, so use it with any vendor, on your own or alongside whoever advises you.
